DNW signes Letter of Intent with ATR

As part of the Dutch-French Economic Year, this visit celebrates shared ambitions in strategic sectors, including aerospace, and marks a new step in ATR’s international partnerships. During that visit DNW, NLR and ATR signed a Letter of Intent reinforcing their upcoming collaboration with the Clean Aviation framework. Already partners in the DEMETRA and PHARES projects, respectively, this agreement sets the stage for deeper cooperation. 

New successful helicopter test in the DNW-LLF gained international attention

DNW has successfully hosted a experimental campaign on an innovative helicopter rotor system featuring active blade twisting. The tests, conducted as part of the Smart Twisting Active Rotor (STAR) project, evaluated a four-bladed helicopter rotor equipped with integrated piezoceramic actuators in a large-scale, realistic wind tunnel environment.

Delegates of the province of Flevoland at DNW

On 14 November, Flevoland's government officials and crisis partners gathered for the annual Government Officials Day. They discussed their roles in emergency situations and how they can support each other in the event of a crisis. The meeting was held in the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR) building on the MITC site in Marknesse. After a welcome by the NLR, King's Commissioner Arjen Gerritsen opened the programme and Marco Zannoni then led a discussion on social resilience. This was followed by a tour of the MITC site and a visit to the German-Dutch Wind Tunnels (DNW).
