The NWB in Braunschweig is a closed-circuit low speed wind tunnel of the atmospheric type, located on the premises of the DLR.
From 2009 to 2010, the NWB underwent substantial refurbishment to become an aeroacoustic wind tunnel of excellent acoustic properties, while at the same time its well-known high aerodynamic qualities were preserved.
Type of wind tunnel
Industrial wind tunnel for the low-speed domain with cutting edge technology and with capabilities for aeroacoustic and dynamic testing.
