The solar park was developed by HVC and the Stichting Energieneutraal Noordelijk Flevoland (SENF) with the aim of making an active contribution to accelerating the energy transition. The solar park covers an area of some 250,000 m2, which is comparable to 36 football pitches and is connected to the electricity grid via DNW's existing grid connection. The availability of the green power reduces over 18,000 tonnes per year of CO2 emissions and because the solar park is connected to the power grid via DNW's transformer, DWN can obtain their power directly from Sunspace to make their operations more sustainable.
